Floral Heart Project - A New Way To Mourn
The problem
With growing numbers of dead, and no way to mourn in public. We needed a new idea that could occur in public spaces and allow for gathering, sharing and community.
The solution
The Floral Heart Project created outdoor memorial sites for those impacted by COVID-19 in a way that was inclusive, non-political, and communal.
The project scaled to become a primary component in the actions to create a National COVID-19 Memorial Day in the US Congress. (Purchased by 1-800-Flowers.com)
